Referrals across a big state
California is a large place to refer in. A client in Fresno may need an in-person eating disorder therapist, a couple in San Diego may want a Gottman-trained therapist who takes their PPO, and a teen in the Inland Empire may need ERP for OCD with a clinician who sees adolescents. Finding that person by word of mouth can take days of calls.
On the Tandem Alliance referral board, you post the clinical picture once and California colleagues whose specialties fit are notified. You can also search members by city, specialty, modality, language, ages served, and session format.
Built for California licenses
Members include LCSWs, LMFTs, LPCCs, licensed psychologists, and psychiatric providers. Every account goes through a license check before full access, and clinicians in the client-facing directory have their licensure confirmed with the Board of Behavioral Sciences or the Board of Psychology under the California Department of Consumer Affairs.
What California members use it for
- Finding in-person therapists in a specific metro, or telehealth therapists licensed anywhere in the state
- Referring out when a client needs a specialty, modality, or level of care outside your scope
- Announcing openings so colleagues know when you can take new clients
- Referring a client who is moving out of state to a clinician licensed where they are going, since the board is open nationwide
Get found by clients, too
California clinicians can also apply to the client-facing California specialist directory, where clients browse by specialty and city, including Los Angeles, San Diego, and San Francisco. The directory is by application and separate from the free referral board.
