Ryan Clark is a Licensed Professional Counselor, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP), and military veteran — the therapist behind Fit Mind Professional Counseling. He helps fellow veterans, active-duty service members, and first responders heal from trauma, sleep better, strengthen their relationships, and find purpose — whether they're still in uniform, wearing the badge, or navigating life after service.
His approach is structured and tools-based: flexible, collaborative, and built around what works. Drawing on EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), Internal Family Systems (IFS), the Gottman Method, and existential techniques, Ryan helps clients develop the strength to reduce the weight of trauma, depression, and anxiety — and he'll motivate you to pursue your goals along the way, building what he calls psychological fitness.
Ryan has lived the culture his clients come from. He pairs that first-hand understanding of military and first-responder life with structured, practical tools for trauma, sleep, and relationships.
Ryan works with individuals and couples — service members and first responders carrying what the job leaves behind, partners working to reconnect, and anyone in those communities wrestling with identity, purpose, and the transition to what comes next. He understands the challenges military and first-responder families face because he has faced them himself, and he brings that credibility into every session.
Ryan is licensed as a Professional Counselor in Arizona and sees clients virtually throughout the state. He also offers reduced-rate sessions through the Open Path Psychotherapy Collective.
