Raishelle Meagher is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Ventura, California, working by telehealth across the state with teens, young adults, and adults. Her practice is built around a premise she states plainly: therapy that considers the whole person — body, mind, and spirit — rather than the symptom that brought someone through the door. Most of the people she sits with are women navigating anxiety, the aftermath of trauma, or a season of change, and are usually carrying more roles than there are hours in the day.
Her clinical focus is emotional dysregulation, and she works toward it from the body. In her own framing, the worry, panic, fatigue, disrupted sleep, and chronic overwhelm clients arrive with are signals rather than defects — the body telling a story of survival — and much of the early work is learning to read those signals and build regulation around them through breath work, grounding, and somatic resourcing. From there the work turns to the root of what is happening rather than the surface of it, and to the skills, routines, and habits that make a different day possible.
If you are ready to thrive rather than merely survive, I am here to guide you on your journey of healing.
Faith enters her sessions at whatever level a client wants it to, and never further. For Christian clients that can mean studying scripture together, bringing prayer into session, or using prayer as a between-session practice for self-care and regulation. She also works with religious trauma — spiritual abuse, “church hurt,” and the conflict clients feel between their faith and their lived experience — for people whose injury sits inside the belief system itself. Her practice is explicit that clients of every background and belief are welcome: faith is integrated only to the degree it feels comfortable, and no one is judged for their values, lifestyle, or lack of a religious foundation.
Alongside anxiety and trauma she works with depression, parenting and parent-child relationships, life transitions, and spirituality and spiritual wellness. Her practice pages name the groups of women she most often supports — homeschool moms, modern moms carrying more roles than hours, midlife women in their forties and fifties facing career, identity, and body changes, and young professionals and students trying to hold values and ambition together without burning out.
She offers traditional weekly and biweekly sessions, and also extended intensive sessions running from 90 minutes to four hours — scheduled once, over several consecutive days, or on a semi-regular basis — for people who cannot fit a weekly hour or who feel stuck after years of traditional therapy. All sessions are virtual, delivered by secure video or phone. Her style is exploratory and reflective, and she is direct about having come through incapacitating anxiety and life-altering trauma herself.
Raishelle holds clinical social work licenses in four states — California (LCSW #109804), South Carolina (LISW-CP #10769), Florida (telehealth registration #TPSW4133), and Maine (#LC26332) — and sees Tandem referrals in California. She also holds a certification in Nutrition and Integrative Medicine for Mental Health through Dr. Leslie Korn’s Brainbow Blueprint program, which she uses to connect nutrition and lifestyle choices to mental health.
