Kerstyn Ludlow is a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist at Love Frequencies Collective, practising under the clinical supervision of Michaela Decker, LMFT, her practice in Mesa, working with teens, young adults, and adults in person and by telehealth across Arizona. She sees individuals, couples, families, and friendships — relationships of every configuration, including the ones that do not fit the shape people were told to expect.
Her focus is what happens inside a bond when the usual scripts stop working: communication and conflict that keeps circling back to the same place, identity that is still being worked out, the differentiation of staying yourself inside a close relationship, and the slow, specific work of repair after betrayal. She also does premarital work with partners deciding how they want to build something together. Her practice is LGBTQIA+ and ENM/polyamory affirming, and she has advanced training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy with a specific LGBTQIA+ focus, alongside advanced training in Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy.
You’re trying to make sense of a relationship that doesn’t fit the script you were handed.
Kerstyn works from a relational, attachment-focused lens, drawing on emotionally focused therapy, family systems, CBT, somatic work, and an integrative approach shaped to the people in the room. Rather than refereeing a single argument, she helps partners and families name the cycle underneath it — where it was learned, and what it is trying to protect — and build steadier, more direct ways to reach each other. Her style is exploratory and reflective; she describes her own role as a safety-creator and process consultant rather than the person with the answers.
She earned her Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Capella University and holds bachelor’s degrees in psychology and in neuroscience from Arizona State University. She writes that she spent years in the client’s chair before she sat in the therapist’s, and that therapy is what let her understand her own sensitivity as a strength rather than a flaw — an experience that shapes how much room she leaves for vulnerability in the work. She is a member of the LGBTQIA+ community and brings that lived understanding into her practice. She sees clients in English, offers a free 15-minute video consultation, and is accepting new clients.
