Jessica Trotter

Jessica Trotter is a Licensed Associate Counselor at Beelong Counseling, her supervised private practice in Mesa, seeing children, teens, young adults, and adults in person and by telehealth across Arizona. Her work centers on phases of life — the stretches where a kid or a family is being asked to become something they haven't been yet — and on what depression, anxiety, and neurodivergence look like inside those stretches.

She has spent more than seven years working within the neurodivergent population, much of it in homes rather than offices. That history shapes how she reads behavior now: as information about what someone is trying to manage, rather than as the problem to be corrected.

Jessica is passionate about supporting individuals and families on the autism spectrum, and works alongside that with ADHD, anxiety, depression, emotion regulation, and parenting. Her style is structured and tools-based. She draws on Applied Behavior Analysis, behavioral therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and family systems, matching the approach to the person in front of her.

She also works with the family as a whole, offering sibling, family, and parenting sessions rather than treating one child in isolation. For families in the middle of a school issue, she brings the knowledge and understanding to support with schools, IEP and 504 plans, and diagnostic and testing questions — the part of a young person's care that often falls outside the therapy hour.

Jessica earned her master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Grand Canyon University. She is a Licensed Associate Counselor in Arizona and practices under Board-approved clinical supervision. Beelong Counseling accepts Arizona ESA / ClassWallet funds.
