Jenny Scheid is a Licensed Professional Counselor with 25 years of clinical experience and the founder of Life Renewed Therapy in Tempe, Arizona. She works with children, teens, adults, and older adults, seeing Arizona clients both in person and by telehealth across the state. Licensed in Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Ohio, she brings a steady, experienced presence to some of the most misunderstood and stubborn struggles her clients face.
Jenny's clinical home is the treatment of eating disorders and OCD. She works across the full landscape these conditions touch - disordered eating and body image, body dysmorphia, obsessive-compulsive disorder, phobias, body-focused repetitive behaviors, and the anxiety that so often runs beneath them - helping clients loosen the grip of the thoughts and rituals that have come to organize their days.
Recovery isn't about willpower - it's about learning to relate to your thoughts, your body, and your fear in a new way.
Her approach is evidence-based and active. She draws on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Inference-based CBT (I-CBT) - frontline approaches for eating disorders and OCD - pairing structured skills work with mindfulness and self-compassion. For clients who want it, she can also integrate faith and spirituality into the work.
Jenny holds a Master of Arts in Biblical Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education, with a health endorsement, from George Mason University.
