Gabriela Huber is a Licensed Professional Counselor and the OCD and anxiety specialist behind Healthy Minds Therapy. She works with children, teens, and adults who feel caught in the loops of obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic, and phobias, helping them understand how anxiety operates and build practical, lasting tools to respond to it differently.
Gabriela completed specialized OCD training through the International OCD Foundation's Behavior Therapy Training Institute (BTTI), and grounds her work in evidence-based approaches: Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Before becoming a counselor she spent more than five years as an education advocate supporting families through learning and behavioral challenges — experience that continues to shape her collaborative, family-centered style.
Gabriela helps clients build awareness of how OCD and anxiety work, develop healthy coping strategies, and meet themselves with self-compassion along the way.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Gabriela offers culturally responsive care and works closely with parents through structured, evidence-based programs such as SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) so families can better support an anxious child. She blends individual and family work to meet each client where they are.
Gabriela earned her Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling from Northern Arizona University. She sees clients in person in Tucson and virtually throughout Arizona.
