Emilie Burns is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Fash Counseling, licensed in both Arizona and Illinois, with nine years of experience supporting adults through complex trauma, personality-related concerns, and the emotional patterns that build up over a lifetime. She sees clients virtually across Arizona.
She works with people living with borderline and other personality dynamics, dissociation, mood and bipolar concerns, and the aftermath of trauma — helping them understand the ways their mind and nervous system have adapted over time, and move toward steadier, more self-compassionate ground.
Emilie believes healing begins with understanding — of yourself, your experiences, and the ways your mind and nervous system have adapted over time.
Her approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and psychodynamic therapy, tailored to each client. Above all, she wants therapy to feel human: "Therapy should feel like a conversation with someone you genuinely connect with — not like you have to say all the 'right' things."
Emilie holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver.
