Dr. Melissa Jackson is a Licensed Professional Counselor with more than 20 years of experience and a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision (Grand Canyon University, 2024). For roughly a decade she has also served as an AZBBHE-approved clinical supervisor, and she is trained in Functional Family Therapy as both a therapist and supervisor.
Her clinical work centers on the transitions of later life. She walks alongside older adults and those in midlife through grief, loss, estrangement, and the anxiety and depression that change can bring, as well as healing from trauma. Her style is exploratory and reflective — she draws on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help clients make meaning of loss and reconnect with themselves and the people who matter most.
