Christine Harris is a licensed clinical therapist and the founder of the Neurodiversity Affirming Therapy and Wellness Center, working by secure telehealth with adults across Arizona. Her practice is built specifically for autistic and ADHD adults — people who are late-identified, self-discovering, or still questioning whether neurodivergence explains long-standing patterns in their lives. Christine is a late-diagnosed AuDHD (Autistic & ADHD) adult herself, and she is direct that this shapes the work: she integrates formal clinical training with lived neurodivergent experience, so the frameworks she brings are ones she has also lived inside.
She describes her approach as neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, evidence-based, and depth-oriented. In practice that means the work is not organized around symptom reduction or around learning to mask more convincingly. It starts instead from context: what happens to a nervous system that spends years adapting to environments built for someone else. She writes that many of her clients arrive after years of interpreting their own struggles as personal failures, and that the shift toward a more accurate understanding is often what changes their relationship to themselves — not because understanding removes the difficulty, but because it replaces shame and self-blame with clarity and self-trust.
Therapy with me is not about forcing yourself to appear more neurotypical.
Alongside that core focus, Christine works with anxiety, depression, trauma, burnout, and the emotional exhaustion that follows long stretches of masking and self-monitoring, as well as perfectionism, sensory and nervous-system overwhelm, and the identity questions that tend to surface after a late identification. Her sessions are built to accommodate neurodivergent communication and pacing needs — movement breaks, captions, written or visual supports, processing time, and room for silence — which she frames as part of good therapy rather than a special exception. A formal diagnosis is not required to begin. She also offers an Autism & ADHD Exploration process for adults who want structured guidance in understanding whether neurodivergence fits their experience; it includes clinical discussion, psychoeducation, and screening tools, and she is explicit that it is not a formal neuropsychological evaluation and does not produce disability or accommodation documentation. Separately, she publishes self-paced psychoeducational courses on autism, ADHD, masking, burnout, and perfectionism, which she distinguishes clearly from therapy.
Christine holds an MS and is licensed in Minnesota as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, #5157. She sees Arizona clients under a Counseling Compact privilege to practice, #AZ-215, which flows from that Minnesota license. Sessions are 60 minutes at $225, held by secure telehealth, with a limited number of reduced-rate spots available. She is an out-of-network provider and does not bill insurance directly, but she can provide superbills, accepts HSA and FSA cards, and many clients use their out-of-network benefits through Thrizer. A free 15-minute consultation is available.
