Dr. Saara Muscat is a clinical psychologist practicing in San Francisco with a boutique, intentional approach to evidence-based psychotherapy. She works with individual adults navigating stress, anxiety, depression, ADHD, and relationship concerns, drawing on CBT, ACT, DBT, and mindfulness-based stress reduction to address both symptom relief and deeper personal integration.
Dr. Muscat's practice is intentionally small — a limited caseload model that allows for personalized, attentive care. She offers both in-person and telehealth sessions for California residents, as well as walk and talk therapy for clients in the Bay Area who prefer an outdoor setting.
"The focus is not solely on symptom relief, but on helping you integrate the disconnected parts of your life and self."
She also specializes in psychedelic harm reduction and integration for patients undergoing ketamine infusions, providing preparation and follow-up support within an evidence-based, values-centered framework. Her approach weaves clinical rigor with a solutions-oriented lens, helping clients move beyond coping into meaningful, lasting change.
Dr. Muscat trained at the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium and completed her predoctoral internship at UCLA Counseling and Psychological Services and her postdoctoral fellowship at Notre Dame de Namur University Counseling Center. Her clinical background spans community mental health, veteran care at the VA, and university counseling, alongside clinical research and neuropsychological assessments at Stanford University.
