Robyn Harrod is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 30 years of clinical experience, the majority of it focused on one of the most underserved areas in mental health: infertility and reproductive counseling. She works with individuals and couples navigating the emotional weight of infertility — the grief, the uncertainty, and the complex decisions involved in exploring alternative family building paths such as adoption, surrogacy, and assisted reproduction.
Robyn also specializes in supporting transgender and non-binary individuals through transition, bringing the same depth of care and clinical expertise to gender identity work as she does to reproductive counseling. Her broader practice includes depression, anxiety, grief and loss, relational conflict, and major life transitions.
"The path to parenthood doesn't always look the way we imagined. My work is about holding space for all of it — the grief, the hope, and the complexity — so you can move forward with clarity and support."
Before entering private practice, Robyn spent 15 years as Director of Programs at a Southern California Foster Family and Adoption Agency, where she built foster and adoption programs from the ground up. She also established programs at Korean American Family Services. This institutional background gives her an unusually practical understanding of the systems and processes involved in adoption and family building — knowledge she brings directly into her clinical work.
Robyn is certified in Fertility Counseling and holds training from the TransYouth Care Symposium, Breakthrough Parenting, and the National Adoption Competency Mental Health Training initiative. She sees clients at her Larchmont office in Los Angeles and virtually.
