Dr. Nacona Bunker is a Licensed Psychologist and board-certified neuropsychologist who founded Desert Bloom Pediatric Neuropsychology to bring comprehensive, compassionate cognitive and psychological evaluations to children and young adults in the Phoenix metro area. She sees clients ages 5–24 and specializes in untangling complex presentations involving ADHD, autism, learning differences, traumatic brain injury, and giftedness.
Dr. Bunker completed her doctoral internship at Barrow Neurological Institute at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and a fellowship at the UPMC Sports Concussion Program — one of the nation’s leading concussion centers. That foundation in both pediatric neurology and sports medicine gives her a uniquely comprehensive lens for evaluating complex cases, including twice-exceptional learners and student athletes.

In addition to evaluations, Dr. Bunker provides individual therapy for pediatric and adolescent clients, available virtually throughout Arizona and PSYPACT-authorized states. She is also experienced in completing documentation for DDD/ALTCS funding, ESA disability letters, and school-based accommodation reports (IEP and 504 plans), helping families navigate the systems that support their children’s success.
