Molly Johnson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Certified EMDR Therapist practicing in Arcadia, Phoenix. As an EMDR Consultant in Training, she specializes in attachment-oriented EMDR that weaves together parts work and somatic processing — helping clients move through deeply held trauma in a condensed, deeply effective format.
Molly's practice is built around intensive sessions. Rather than stopping just as momentum builds, she works in sessions of just under two hours, with intensive formats available up to six hours for clients ready to move through significant material in one sitting. Longer weekend intensives are available upon request — an approach that gives the nervous system real room to engage and fully process.
"Life is an experiment and control is an illusion."
Molly has developed particular expertise in three areas that often go underserved. First, individuals navigating couples therapy who need their own EMDR work to process trauma that is surfacing in the relationship. Second, women in leadership — especially in church contexts but also business — who carry the weight of perfectionism, people-pleasing, and the particular wounds that come with institutional power dynamics. Third, women managing chronic health conditions or subfertility, where the body, grief, and trauma are deeply intertwined.
Her approach draws on EMDR, attachment theory, somatic integration, and parts-based frameworks to address the ways trauma becomes stuck in the body and shapes behavior long after the original events. In-person sessions are available in Arcadia on Wednesdays and Fridays; virtual sessions are available for Arizona residents throughout the week, with some afternoon and evening availability.
