Misty Bonta is a Licensed Educational Psychologist and educational neuropsychologist with over 17 years of experience walking alongside families, educators, and mental health professionals navigating the complex needs of students. Her specialty is working with neurodivergent children and teens — including those with Autism, ADHD, and learning disabilities — who also have complex mental health needs such as trauma, anxiety, and mood disorders.
Many of the individuals Misty works with experience challenges in academic and/or social functioning. With advanced training in understanding brain development and functioning, she integrates both clinical and educational perspectives into assessment and intervention, ensuring that evaluations are always strength-based and neuro-informed to uncover how each student learns, processes, and thrives best.
"Every person has the ability to thrive when provided with the right support."
Misty's work is grounded in a deep respect for neurodivergence and brain health, and she is passionate about helping students be seen for their strengths, not just their struggles. She believes that real, lasting change happens when we also transform the systems around students — which is why she partners with schools and districts to design effective mental health programs and train the professionals who support them.
In addition to her direct clinical work with families, Misty is the founder of Get Psyched Inc., where she provides NASP- and BBS-approved continuing education workshops for school psychologists, as well as contract-based assessment, counseling, staff training, and program development services for school districts across California.
