Kay Wolferstetter is a Licensed Addictions Counselor whose path to helping others began with her own journey in recovery. That personal insight shapes everything about how she practices — offering a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can explore the roots of substance use without shame, and begin building sustainable paths to healing.
Kay began her career in Wisconsin, supporting individuals in recovery and independence, before relocating to Tucson to continue her work in mental health. She brings extensive community mental health experience, with particular expertise in co-occurring diagnoses — supporting clients who are navigating both substance use and mental health challenges simultaneously.
"Recovery isn't a straight line — and that's okay. What matters is that you don't walk it alone."
Kay's therapeutic approaches include Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Motivational Interviewing — all offered within Soul Space Tucson's integrative wellness environment, where mental, physical, and emotional health are understood as deeply interconnected. She works with adults ages 18 and older, including members of the LGBTQI+ community, and welcomes clients wherever they are in their recovery journey.
