Jennifer Salas is a Licensed Professional Counselor and EMDRIA Certified EMDR Therapist based in Arizona, specializing in traumatic grief, complex trauma, and dissociation. She works with individuals age 10 and older via telehealth, offering sessions on weekdays, some evenings, and Saturdays — and provides therapy in both English and Spanish.
Jennifer's therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that healing is possible and that each person carries immense inner strength and resilience. She walks alongside clients to build hope and steadily improve well-being, drawing on a range of evidence-based modalities tailored to each individual's needs.
"Healing is possible — each person carries immense strength and resilience, and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you as you reclaim your story."
Jennifer integrates Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to reduce trauma sensitivity and help clients reprocess distressing memories, alongside Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address unhelpful thought patterns, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to strengthen emotional regulation and relationship skills. She also incorporates family systems theories to understand each client within the context of their broader relational world.
Her practice has a strong focus on criminal trauma — including domestic violence, hate crimes, sexual abuse, and sexual assault — as well as supporting clients navigating anger, anxiety, depression, self-esteem challenges, and self-harming behaviors. Jennifer's bilingual Spanish services make culturally responsive care accessible to a broader range of clients across Arizona.
