Jeanette Yoffe

Jeanette has been an adoption therapist and foster care therapist in Los Angeles for over 20 years. She serves as the Clinical Director of Yoffe Therapy, Inc. and has also worked as a keynote speaker, training developer, associate therapist supervisor, and foster care social worker.

At Yoffe Therapy, the clinical focus is on children, adolescents, and families impacted by adoption, foster care, and early relational trauma. Much of the work centers on individuals navigating attachment disruptions, grief and loss, identity development, and complex trauma.

Jeanette has trained social workers and therapists in trauma-informed practice for the Los Angeles County Child and Family Services and the Los Angeles Department of Mental Health. She also holds trainings for parents, social workers, and therapists on topics related to adoption and foster care challenges, parenting, the impact of pre-adoption trauma, grief and loss, open adoption, attachment challenges, and reunion and family reunification support.

The clinical team at Yoffe Therapy is trained in trauma-informed, attachment-based, and adoption-competent care, including specialized models such as Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment Focused Child-Parent Psychotherapy, EMDR-informed therapy, body-based psychotherapy, and grief and loss therapy. They also integrate neuroscience-informed approaches, including regulation and co-regulation strategies, to support emotional and behavioral healing.

Jeanette is also the founder of Celia Center, a non-profit organization supporting all members in the adoption constellation through support groups, adoptee arts festivals, foster youth arts festivals, and mental health conferences.
