Emily Wesley is an EMDR Certified therapist and EMDR Consultant in Training — meaning she not only practices EMDR but is in the process of becoming a credentialed supervisor for other EMDR clinicians. EMDR is her primary clinical lens, and she brings deep expertise in helping clients process and heal from trauma, grief, complex loss, and identity wounds at the level of the nervous system.
Her practice is distinctly integrative and body-centered. Beyond EMDR, Emily weaves in Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT/tapping), somatic practices, therapeutic Reiki, certified therapeutic yoga, sound bowl work, breathwork, and guided meditation. This mind-body-spirit orientation reflects her belief that healing happens across all layers of the self — not just in the mind.
"Healing happens across all layers of the self — mind, body, and spirit."
Emily specializes in working with individuals navigating trauma, grief and loss, adoption, childlessness, and racial identity. She brings a deeply culturally sensitive and BIPOC-affirming lens to her work, holding space for the intersection of systemic inequity, identity, and personal healing. Her care is fully LGBTQ+ affirming.
Emily also practices compassionate mindfulness and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), working with anxiety, phobias, attachment wounds, and relationship challenges alongside her somatic and trauma-focused approaches.
Emily practices entirely via telehealth and is licensed in both Washington (LICSW #LW-61176225) and Arizona (LCSW #23431), serving clients across both states. She holds a Master of Social Work from the University of Washington and has been practicing since 2016. A free 15-minute consultation is available to all prospective clients.
