Dani Martz is the owner of Courage Rising Wellness, a counseling practice in North Central Phoenix specializing in Substance Use Disorders and co-occurring conditions. Her work is trauma-informed and relationally focused, addressing both the individual navigating substance use and the broader family system affected by it.
Dani is trained in EMDR and integrates Parts Work, somatic approaches, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to address the emotional, physiological, and relational patterns that often complicate a SUD diagnosis. She takes a whole-person view — meeting clients not just at the level of behavior, but at the root causes underneath it.
"Recovery isn't just about stopping — it's about building a life worth showing up for. I help clients and their families find that path together."
A significant part of Dani's practice is dedicated to family members and loved ones of individuals with SUD. This work is grounded in CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training), an evidence-based model that helps loved ones improve communication, set healthier boundaries, reduce their own distress, and increase the likelihood of positive change — while prioritizing their own wellbeing throughout.
Dani offers free consultations for all potential clients and is currently accepting new clients at her Phoenix office and via telehealth throughout Arizona.
