Dani Marrufo

Dani Marrufo is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Kindman & Co. in Highland Park, Los Angeles, specializing in supporting LGBTQIA+ folx and Latinx & BIPOC individuals. As a queer Latinx person themselves, Dani approaches identity with a curious and holistic perspective, understanding the nuances of gender, sexuality, and cultural experience from the inside out.

Dani's clinical background spans both community mental health and cancer support settings — including extensive group facilitation work at Cancer Support Community SGV — which has prepared them to support clients navigating significant life transitions, life-altering diagnoses, caregiver challenges and burnout, and the complexity of grief and loss. They are especially passionate about supporting fellow Latine folks in making room for their emotions and challenging internalized cultural narratives.

Dani also works with creative people who want to bring expressive, non-traditional approaches into therapy. They possess extensive group facilitation experience and bring that same collaborative energy to individual work — holding space for clients to externalize feelings, challenge limiting stories, and move toward the life they want. At Kindman & Co., Dani works within a social justice-informed, relational framework that honors the full complexity of each client's experience.
